Rick Kleyn is a graduate of the University of Natal where he obtained a Masters degree in Poultry Nutrition under the supervision of Prof. Rob Gous. After spending some time in the feed industry, he started his own nutritional consultancy company, SPESFEED (Pty) Ltd in 1989. The company’s client base includes feed millers, premix manufacturers, poultry integrators and ingredient suppliers across in a number of African countries but has also has considerable exposure to European and Asia. Rick has published a book entitled “Chicken Nutrition: A guide for nutritionists and poultry professionals.” Of late he has become involved with training and runs well subscribed “Master Classes” in poultry nutrition together with Steve Leeson.
